Patent Engineer

Job Description :
• Motorola seeks highly motivated and energetic engineers to join its Patent Ops Team.
• The Patent Engineer will be required to draft patent applications and assist in prosecuting the applications by preparing reply to patent office actions to protect inventions in various divisions of Motorola, mainly in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Skill set :
• Broad engineering background with coursework in two or more of the following disciplines: digital signal processing, analogue electronics, digital electronics, RF circuit design, computer engineering, networking, wireless/mobile communication;
• Able to comprehend complex concepts, employ logical thinking and thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment;
• Ability to consistently maintain focus and drive;
• Capable of working on own initiative as well as in a team environment;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Qualification :
• Degree in Electronics and Communication/ Electrical/ Computer Engineering with a minimum of 70% in aggregate.
• Only the students passing out in year 2010 need to apply.

Selection criteria :
• After shortlisting the candidates, we will conduct a round of telephonic interviews.
• Based on the telephonic interviews, we will call the candidates for a written test followed by 2-3 rounds of technical and HR interviews at Motorola office.
